About Me

Kimberly Vasileva is an American-Bulgarian choreographer, dance artist, and educator with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance Performance. Kimberly began her movement journey at United Talent Dance and United Fine Arts Academy, under the mentorship of Angelica South. At seventeen,  Kimberly moved to Winston-Salem, NC, where she obtained a contemporary dance diploma through the University of North Carolina’s School for the Arts High School Program.

In 2025, Kimberly graduated with her BFA from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she was awarded the Thrive Scholarship in  her last year. Explorations within creative process and composition class prepared Kimberly to create four original choreographies in her junior and senior year, including her Boston Conservatory MainStage debut, “XOPO”, a celebration of Romani and Balkan music, culture, and dance. Kimberly also enjoyed dancing in fellow student works and performance opportunities including choreographies by Laila J. Franklin, Kurt Douglas, and Danae and Dionysious.

Kimberly’s movement practices are inspired by her training and experiences, such as the Dance Italia Summer Program (2023) and Little House Creation Lab (2024/2025), which facilitated many deep, nuanced findings for Kimberly’s artistry. Since obtaining her BFA, Kimberly was selected as an Emerging Choreographer Fellow in the 2025 Aimed Dance Summerfest, and has recently relocated to Asheville, NC.

Kimberly hopes to dive deeper into somatics, collaborative opportunities, and exploring multidisciplinary arts in her choreographic work and performance based projects!
